The Process
While working as a Communications Specialist at the Brazilian Embassy in Helsinki, I created a social media series called Dica da Rosinha (“Rosinha’s Tip”) — a project designed to make consular information more approachable for Brazilians living in Finland.
The idea came from noticing how often citizens asked the same questions about passports, voting, and other bureaucratic processes. I proposed the concept, created the content plan, and brought it to life through a friendly illustrated character inspired by one of our consular officers. I designed the visuals in Adobe Illustrator, wrote all the copy, and managed publication across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
The goal was to make information easier to understand and less intimidating — and to create a stronger sense of connection between the embassy and the community it served. The series was well received and sparked conversations with Brazilians who felt more supported and seen in their everyday challenges.
Dica da Rosinha became one of my earliest experiences in designing for clarity and empathy, and it reinforced my belief that even small ideas — when executed with care — can have a meaningful impact.
